Application for mission trip to Cancun Mexico (Please print out and return with your deposit)

Mail Completed Application to Clowning for Christ, 2050 Rocky Creek Rd, Mansfield GA 30055

Here are the details for the mission trip to Cancun. At this time we are planning on going in Jan 2012. We leave on Jan 3rd and come back on Jan 9th. Depending on what part of the country you are in as to your flight arrangements. If you are in the south east then you might consider flying out of Atlanta with the group in which case you can drive in the day before and spend the night at our home. We will go to the airport the next day for a morning flight to Cancun. If you live in another part of the US or it will not work for you to come in the day before then you will need to make arrangements to arrive in Cancun on that Tuesday Jan 3rd as close to noon as possible. We can make additional trips to the airport to pick you up but the fewer trips the better. We leave Cancun for the return home on Monday around 12 noon. But again we can make additional trips to the airport if needed.

The 1st day is a day of getting your feet on the ground, unpacking and getting to know the rest of the group. We stay at the Mission House in Cancun which is a very nice setup. It is dorm type sleeping with large bathrooms. There is a large common area where we meet for Bible study and devotionals and time of fellowship. There is a big screen TV, pool table and a swimming pool although I can never find time to go swimming. All our meals are served to us at the mission house and are included, along with bottled water and snacks.

While we are there we will be working with local churches in the area doing street ministry. A typical day is we start off by prayer walking the area around the church in the morning then in the afternoon we get into makeup and go back out to interact with the public and invite them to the program we will be doing at the church that evening. We start the evening program around 5 to 7 and wrap up in about 1 hour then it is back to the Mission House where we stay. We work with 4 churches over 4 day handing out tracks, balloons, face painting and just building relations with the local people.

On the 6th day (Sunday) we have the day off for a day of site seeing and shopping before we head home on Monday.

Now the cost. For the week it is $775 which includes your meals, room, snacks, bottled water, the interrupter and Emergency health Insurance. I also bring chick tracks for hand outs. The things that are not included are your airfare and anything we may need to buy down there for give away such as candy and piņatas. And anything else that you might want to spend personally would be at your own expense. This last year the airfare form Atlanta was $220 round trip plus tax, with tax it was about $315. Your travel health insurance is included this year which will give you emergency insurance or if something were to happen that you need to be evacuated for health issues, it covers that expensive.

I think I have covered everything but if you have additional questions please give me a call at 800-442-6432.
